Nipissing Lakers Captain Parker Bowman scored twice in the second to tie the Lakehead Thunderwolves 3-3 at Memorial Gardens Thursday afternoon. And Lakers goalie Reece Proulx shut the door in the third to force overtime and earn a point.
And there were three posts hit in the shootout, but one deflected into the net behind Proulx to give Lakehead the win. The teams meet up again 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10 at the Gardens.
